Protect, Provide, and Please

“This sounds silly, but I don’t want tonight to end.” Michaela grabbed my hand as I pushed open the front door. Stepping aside, I let her enter first.

“It doesn’t have to.”

I couldn’t remember the last time I enjoyed a first date. The fact that this was my first date with my fiancée made the experience all the more interesting.

“Oh, but it does.”

“Why?”

Tugging her arm, I pulled her into me. I spun us around and pinned her to the door. She gazed at me intently with a smirk. I caressed her cheek with my thumb, smiling at her red tinged cheeks. The single light in our entryway was enough for me to see her soft features.

“Because we might do something we’d regret.” Michaela tilted her head back, inviting me to kiss her.

“I wouldn’t regret a thing.”

Several thoughts of ways to please my future wife crossed my mind.

In an instant, my mouth was on hers and my hand around her neck. A whimper came from her while she gripped the hem of my shirt. After a series of light pecks, her lips parted, and head tilted to the side. Our tongues collided and our bodies pressed against one another. Her mouth was sweet and citrusy, like the nectarine sorbet we’d eaten for dessert. She pulled my shirt when I pressed my hardened dick into her stomach. Releasing her neck, I reached for her hand that held her purse. Michaela relinquished the purse, allowing me to toss it on the bench near the door. Grabbing her legs, I attempted to hoist her until she gently pressed her hands into my chest.

“Sergio,” she whispered between pecks. “We should…” she trailed off before gripping the back of my neck as I dropped kisses down the curve of her neck.

“You know, Michaela,” I said, removing my lips from her neck to peer down at her. “As your future husband, it’s my duty to please you in any way you see fit. I’m here to provide, protect, and please you.”

Raking her fingers down the back of my neck, she tilted her head back, brushing her lips against mine.

“I don’t have sex on the first date,” she teased, amusement flickering in her eyes.

“Not even for your soon to be husband?”

Shaking her head, Michaela grinned.

“Not even for him.” She kissed me once more, then stared at me. “Thanks for tonight.”

 “Anytime.”

The sounds of our phones ringing broke the sexual tension and was replaced with fear. Our phones chimed again as I reached in my pocket for mine. Michaela grabbed her purse off the bench.

Tia texted us a link to an article and said, “Date night went well, I see.” She sent several blushing face emoji’s which made me chuckle.

Michaela gasped while scrolling on her phone, and I rushed over to her. The link from Tia led us to a gossip blog that posted pictures of Michaela and I at dinner tonight. We interlocked our hands as we stared at one another. The camera person caught Michaela’s profile, but her smile was evident, dimple and all. There was a red circle around Michaela's left hand spotlighting her engagement ring. I scanned the article to see if they found out her name. Fortunately, Michaela’s identity was still a mystery. However, the price of her engagement ring was not. They had estimates of the price of the ring, and how many carats were in the diamond. Toward the end, they mentioned the sex tape, but wished me and my fiancée the best of luck.

“You okay?” I asked Michaela, who remained fixated on the article.

She tore her eyes away from the phone. “Yeah. They don’t know who I am yet, so that’s good. You okay?”

Closing the space between us, I kissed her forehead. “I’m good. I knew it would be only a matter of time before someone saw us.”

“I guess our little bubble has been burst.”

“Nah, it hasn’t. This is still our little secret.”

She was silent for a beat, then said, “Please tell me their estimations are wrong,” referring to the price of her engagement ring.

My mouth formed a smile as I replied, “Don’t you worry about that.” Standing up, I stared down at her. While caressing her cheek, I inhaled deeply. “I’ll see you in the morning, unless you want to spend the night in my room?”  I tried my luck, again.

Fire bounced around her coffee-colored orbs while she gnawed on her bottom lip.

Michaela's phone rang, stealing her attention away from me. Tia’s name appeared on the screen, and I took a step back.

“She’s calling to check on you. I’m sure she’ll call me next.” Michaela nodded.

“Yeah. My uncle and Reyla will probably call too. The innocent smile she flashed me was her way of letting me down gently. “I’m gonna take this in my room.” She held up her phone.

 “Okay. Breakfast, on you?”

She giggled. “Yes, I know the perfect coffee shop downtown. And there’s someone I want you to meet afterward, if you’re not busy.”

"I'm all yours tomorrow." I winked, then pointed at her phone.

As she answered Tia’s call, she quickly climbed the stairs. I remained in the entryway with my phone in hand. I grinned while looking at the pictures of me and Michaela. The way we were smiling, and holding hands, you’d think we’d been together for years. I screenshot the photo and sent it to Michaela.

 Sergio: Goodnight, soon-to-be Mrs. Jones.

Michaela: I like the sound of that. Good night. -Xoxo
