'bout that life.
Kassandra.
“Amani,” I called out for him before he walked into the men’s room. He turned around with an annoyed expression on his face.
When our eyes locked, my heart started to beat uncontrollably. His annoyed expression changed to confused. He raised his eyebrow and stopped in his tracks. I leaned against the wall and folded my arms over my chest, trying my hardest to play like I wasn’t nervous as hell. He leaned on the wall directly across from me, mimicking my stance. A group of drunk girls walked past us and giggled after looking at Amani.
“Wassup, Kassandra?”
A chill shot through me. The way he said my name liked he’d known me my whole life.
Like it was familiar.
It did something to me.
“What happened back there?” I asked, closing the space between us.
He looked down at me; the same desire burning inside of me was clear in his brandy-colored eyes. Running my hands up his stomach to his broad chest, and then around his neck, I waited for his answer. Tilting my head to the side, I bit my bottom lip as I stared at his mouth.
“You’re not ‘bout that life.” His husky tone, paired with the look he was giving me, had heat coursing through my body.
He was testing me.
I’d be lying if I said this wasn’t my first time be so forward. Determined to show I was about whatever life he was about, I played with the hem of his shirt and pressed my body against his.
Tilting my head back, so our lips were within inches of each other, I said, “I am.”
He released a low groan, and I took the tip of my tongue and traced his bottom lip. I took his bottom lip into my mouth and sucked it slowly... deliberately. His hands finally found their way around my waist as he pulled me closer. I opened my mouth, granting his tongue access to mine. He tasted like the cognac he’d consumed earlier, sweet and with a hint of citrus.
The way he kissed me with such finesse made my pussy throb painfully. Where we were no longer mattered to me. People were passing by us as they entered and exited the bathrooms, but I didn’t care. All I cared about was the feel of his soft lips against mine. His big hands were moving all over my ass, gripping it like it belonged to him. And maybe it did, just for tonight. A gasp fell from my lips at the feeling of his hardened dick on me.
I wanted to feel it deep in my stomach.
Or deep down my throat.
Either would suffice.
“I want you,” I said, panting. Amani trailed kisses down my neck with nips and licks in between.
A low groan expelled from his lips before he responded, “The feeling is mutual, baby.”
“So, take me home then,” I challenged.
He released a low throaty groan in my ear before kissing it. “You sure?”
“Very,” I rushed out.
My heart was racing, and my desire for him was beyond explanation. I didn’t need time to consider what I was doing. The consequences would be worth it; I was positive.
Shaking his head, he gripped my waist tighter. “Come on, let’s go.”
Without hesitation, I followed him through the crowded club to the exit. Realizing I was leaving my girls without a word, I texted Leslyn, telling her who I left with and shared my location for the next twenty-four hours. She responded, telling me to live my best life and added the emoji with its tongue out.
My adrenaline was racing, thinking about what I was about to do.
Thinking about who I was about to do.
Every person we passed spoke to Amani. He nodded and shook a few hands, but his grip on my hand remained firm, making sure we wouldn’t separate. He looked at with a smile that made my knees weak. His gaze raked over me before he winked and continued to lead the way. Once we made it outside, his grip loosened. The humid but breezy weather felt lovely on my skin.
“Are you from here?” I asked, wondering why so many people knew him.
“Something like that,” he quipped, as he led us to an all-black truck.
It was then that I felt my nerves creeping up. Amani felt my hesitation stopping and leaning on the trunk while still holding my left hand.
“I’ve never done this before,” I blurted out, instantly feeling like that girl.
He chuckled as he lowered his head. “I know you haven’t, and that’s fine. I’ll follow your lead, whatever you wanna do,” he said, casually with a shrug.
I let out a sigh of relief, then whispered, “Okay.”
Amani used his index finger to raise my chin. “What do you want to do, baby?”
Everything around us went silent.
All I saw was him. The intense look in his eyes made me question why I was getting cold feet. Sure this wasn’t my norm, but with all I’d been dealing with back home, I deserved a night of fun.
Looking at him was becoming too much. His pensive gaze made my mouth dry and heat course through my body. My eyes traveled across the street to the beach. Amani followed my line of sight. With a smile, he opened the passenger door, then assisted me with getting inside.
“I live near a private beach,” he told me before we left the club.
I was expecting the ride to be much longer, not even ten minutes after we left, we were pulling into an underground garage. Once Amani parked, he got out, then came around to my side to help me. He led us to an elevator that we rode to the first floor. The desk attendant smiled at me before returning her attention to her computer. Amani slowed his pace for me to catch up as he neared a set of glass double doors. Using a key fob, he opened the door. We walked down the hall in silence as I mulled over the possibilities of how tonight would end.
